I am a soft-tissue therapist, with a Level 5 diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage. I am also a member of the Institute for Sports and Remedial Massage and have been a practicing therapist since 2016.
In addition to this, I am also a personal trainer and fitness instructor and the co-owner of Think Fit, a well established fitness company working on the outskirts of Truro.
I've struggled with back pain since a playground accident when I was 9 years old. My pain since then has ranged from mild to severe and I've always been frustrated with all the things I've been unable to do because of it - which is possibly where my interest in human anatomy, healing, movement and trying to find ways of helping people feel better came from.
I'm a regular gym goer - I really enjoy lifting weights and HIIT training (when my back allows). I'd love to say that living in Cornwall, I'm a keen sea swimmer but the truth is, I'm terrible at getting into cold water....it's definitely something I'd like to work on!

All of my treatments are based on individual customer needs and no two massages are the same. I listen to my customers and take time to understand what has brought them to me for treatment in the first instance. It's important to me that we work together to make sure treatments are as effective as possible.
Sports massage isn't about squashing my customers into submission! Everyone is different and I'm keen to move people away from the idea that sports massage is a painful and unpleasant experience. Yes, it can be a little uncomfortable at times, but I work with my customers to make sure we manage your discomfort to keep painful moments to a minimum!
I am a massive believer in the benefits of hands-on treatment - it's a hugely powerful thing. I also recognise the benefits of taking some time for yourself for a little self-care. Taking an hour out of your busy schedule once a month for the opportunity to lie down on a massage couch, close your eyes and relax can be just what is needed to look after both your body and mind a little better.
I have learnt over the years how much of an effect the mind has on the body and how it influences our experiences of pain. Part of my treatment often includes helping people understand how and why their body feels pain in the way it does.
